Great Bridge Swim & Racquet Club is exited to offer swim lessons provided by Spindlebeak. For over fifteen years, Spindlebeak founder, has been a sought after coach for all levels of competitive aquatics. While accomplished as a competitive swimmer and coach, Spindlebeak has an enduring love of introducing young people to a lifetime of comfort and enjoyment in the water.

Spindlebeak offers American Red Cross Water Safety Instruction for group or private lessons to humans of all ages. Our Learn-to-Swim Program is structured to promote water familiarization, safety, correct stroke technique and personal development in a fun and safe environment.

Spindlebeak is owned and operated by Samantha Barham.  Sam is currently the head coach of Oscar Smith High School and has been involved in swimming all her life.  Sam started as a swimmer at Great Bridge Swim & Racquet Club where she still holds records to this day!!!  Sam then swam for George Mason University on the Varsity Swim Team for four years earning many awards and distinctions.  Since college Sam has stayed involved in the sport of swimming by coaching and offering swim lessons through her company Spindlebeak.

GBSRC and UNIVERSAL FITNESS Partnership

 

GBSRC has partnered with Universal Fitness, the gym located on the corner of Centerville and Mt. Pleasant.

 

Now, any member of GBSRC may join Universal Fitness at 15% off the regular cost for a Family or Individual membership.

The cost for a GBSRC member would be only $22.91 per month.  The second and third family members would only pay an additional $10 each per month and any family member after that would be free.  

We encourage all GBSRC members to visit Universal Fitness and see its state-of the art equipment and consult with one of their Personal Trainers.
